i love to read somebody's work who is happy with what they're writing about!
seriously, i have read enough opinion-page whining about the state of the economy, the oil spill, the current occupant of the white house, the job market and everything that i NEED to see some good news and some joyful commentary.even if it's not necessarily what i was looking for, i like to stumble upon stuff like this guy talking about a camping trip with his kids. why? because it reminds me of our camping trips and that makes me smile. i have the ability to live vicariously through other people, so long as what they say reminds me about a happy time in my life.
regardless, it's nice to see somebody get cranked up to write about some happy news and a paper with the smarts to give its people some creative freedom to do so.
