some people hate competitive sports. others cannot stand to watch professional sports on TV. but i have found that watching professionals play competitive sports is a great way to embrace my inner kid. the very idea of "playing" for a living lights most guys up like a Christmas tree, and most of us would give up our right arms to be able to draw a paycheck from catching a baseball or shooting a basketball.we can all find some joy in our pursuits, regardless of whether they are watched or participated, and i find joy in watching other people have fun. seriously, go to youtube or yahoo or google and look at their search engine and you can find so many examples of people having fun!
have you ever watched a group of people laughing -- at a bar or restaurant or a ballgame -- and found yourself laughing and/or smiling along with them? it's infectious, isn't it? well, you can find that everywhere.
so when you read too much news or watch too much TV or spend too much time dwelling on some issue or another, just bounce over to those sights and search something simple like: having fun. you'll be surprised at how often you come across stuff like this!
